Two Former Employees Return to Beasley

Hale and Forbes take on new roles with former employer

Lance Hale

Beasley Media Group Inc., a subsidiary of Beasley Broadcast Group, says Lance Hale has been named program director at Fort Myers, Fla., station WRXK(FM). Additionally, Susan Forbes has returned as event producer for WJBR(FM) in Wilmington, Del.

Effective July 5, Hale will replace Jeff Zito, who will work at Beasley Tampa’s WBRN(FM) as program director.

Hale has more than 14 years of programming experience, and he has previously had a role of music director/assistant program director at Ft. Myers station WJBX(AM).

“Lance has already worked successfully with us. He’s the perfect PD to lead K-Rock into the future,” said Beasley Ft. Myers Operations Manager Adam Star in a release.

Susan Forbes

In the Fort Myers-Naples market, Beasley Media Group owns four FMs and one AM, including: WRXK(FM); WWCN(FM); WXKB(FM); WJPT(FM); and WJBX(AM). Additionally, adult contemporary-formatted station “The Link” can be heard through four FM translators: 96.5 MHz and 98.1 MHz in Lee County and 101.5 MHz and 105.1 MHz in Collier County.

Forbes previously served as promotions director for the station in 2012. Since she left the station, she worked on several independent business ventures.

In her new role at WJBR, Forbes will report to Beasley Philadelphia/Wilmington Market Manager Matt Smith.

“Susan’s reputation in executing event planning and logistics is essential to our client sponsorship integration,” Director of Strategic Sales Lori Heeren said in the announcement.

In the Wilmington, Del.-area, Beasley Media Group owns WJBR(FM).
