Trans World Radio, a Christian shortwave broadcast ministry, has announced that it has delivered more than 100,000 “Radio Church Kits” to interested parties in China since the program started in 1994. The actual number is now over 101,000.
Each “kit” consists of a portable shortwave radio, a Bible in the Chinese language and additional literature.
TWR aims for distribution of the kits in the more rural areas of China, which often have limited communications options.
TWR started broadcasting in 1954 from Morocco with a single army-surplus transmitter. It now provides programming in more than 200 languages and dialects, in more than 160 countries.
