More digital radios are becoming available in the United Kingdom. At a convention in Bristol, Pure Digital announced several products that it plans to ship this year for listeners of the Eureka-147 DAB system. Among them: The Evoke-2 DAB radio adds FM, stereo speakers and battery operation to the company’s existing Evoke-1. Retail price will be the equivalent of about $250.
The DRX-702ES tuner has DAB/FM/AM reception; USB connectivity; configurable DAB station ordering; 99 presets on AM, FM and DAB; and an LCD screen. It can be used with a standard hi-fi amplifier and retails for about $500. Info: www.pure-digital.com.
