U.K. Radio Station Offers Charities Free Advertising

The MS Trust campaign launched on air on 12 January.

Passion for the Planet, the only radio station in the United Kingdom focused on helping raise environmental awareness, has celebrated its sixth birthday by choosing six charities to benefit from a free advertising campaign.

Guests at the birthday celebrations were asked to nominate a charity to receive the free radio advertising campaign. The winning charities are: The MS Trust, Cancer Research UK, The Westminster Society, the RSPCA, PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools), and UNICEF. The MS Trust campaign launched on air on 12 January.

“What a great way to start 2009. Radio advertising is so powerful and it gives us the opportunity for us to reach more people and tell them about the services offered by the MS Trust. Its great to be able to publicize our work without having to raise additional funds to do so,” said Jo Sopala, director of fundraising and marketing.

Passion for the Planet reaches more than 90,000 people per week and broadcasts on DAB radio in London, as well as nationwide.
