Broadcast Electronics said it set a company record for transmitters sold at the recent NAB show.
Univision and Regent Communications were among the broadcasters placing HD Radio orders. The company’s Michael Burgett called it “an unusually large number of transmitter orders this year.”
Regent signed orders for transmitters for its Flint, Mich., and Lafayette, La., stations. Univision placed orders during the show for two BE HD Radio transmitters and a BE backup transmitter for its Phoenix stations.
