Urban Radio Symposium Coming to Chicago

The sixth Power of Urban Radio symposium is taking place Feb. 24, 2004 in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency, hosted by Interep. The symposium focuses on the African-American demographic and Urban Radio. Interep hopes to draw more than 300 advertisers, media decision makers and urban marketers.
Tom Joyner, of “The Tom Joyner Show” heard on ABC Radio Networks, is hosting the event. Renetta McCann, President/CEO of Starcom North America will be the keynote speaker.
Supporters also include the Burrell Communications Group, Anderson Communications, Carol H. Williams Advertising, Uniworld Group, Matlock Advertising and Public Relations, Muse, Cordero, Chen and Partners, Fuse Advertising, SWG&M Advertising and E. Morris Communications.
Representatives from Home Depot, Burger King, Procter & Gamble, BMW, Nationwide Insurance, Bank of America and Champs Sports will discuss their personal success stories surrounding Urban Radio. Top executives from urban radio broadcast groups, including Radio One, Inner City Broadcasting, Emmis, Access One, Infinity Broadcasting, Tama Broadcasting, Cumulus Broadcasting, American Urban Radio Networks, Excelsior Radio Networks and ABC Radio Networks will also be addressing participants.
