Contract extension adds appearances for radio host, TV anchor

ESPN Sports anchor and ESPN Radio host Scott Van Pelt has extended his stint with the network.

He signed a multiyear contract extension that adds several appearances for “College GameDay Built by the Home Depot” during football season. Van Pelt will also be part of the network’s BCS Championship Game coverage.

Van Pelt joined ESPN in 2001 as the lead golf reporter. He’ll remain an anchor for the 11p.m. SportsCenter show and continue to host ESPN Radio’s Scott Van Pelt show from 1–4 p.m. Part of his radio show is simulcast on the ESPNews cable channel.

The University of Maryland graduate began his sports broadcasting career at WTTG(TV), Washington in 1990.
