Verification of Radio Network Ratings Goes Electronic

Arbitron said it is enhancing its RADAR network radio service with an improved Spot Confirmation service, an all-electronic version of the commercial affidavit verification system.
It said the improved service will increase the number of stations monitored, expand the number of broadcast hours covered and deliver more frequent reports of how well the commercial affidavits provided to the networks by affiliated stations correspond to the actual broadcast of network spots.
The new Spot Confirmation reports will be delivered quarterly, up from one per year.
