Debuting at the NAB Show is a video for radio co-op project between VidiGo, a European video production equipment maker, and Sierra Automated Systems, the U.S. broadcast console and network equipment maker.
Called Visual Radio Solution, the suite features SAS hardware for audio control hardware and VidiGo’s video production software.
VidiGo COO Reinout Lempers said, “To turn good radio into compelling TV you need to have a good understanding of the radio culture.”
For those worried about distraction or additional staff, a release says, “The audio is still leading and no additional staff is needed to turn good radio into good TV. VidiGo’s Visual Radio is a fully automated IT-based solution. Including fully automated camera switching based on audio analysis.
