Clear Channel Worldwide’s 197 streaming AM and FM stations delivered 6.94 million hours of entertainment in April, making it the leading Internet radio network measured by MeasureCast Inc.
For the second month in a row, London’s Virgin Radio won the top spot in the company’s top 50 Internet radio stations ranking. It streamed 1.3 million hours of programming to 158,858 people.
In April, MeasureCast measured 1,351 Internet radio stations, 63 fewer than in March. The peak listening day was April 30, the day before many online stations protested proposed royalty rates.
