VMS said it has deployed its digital monitoring network.
The company sells news monitoring and ad monitoring services; it said the system uses speech-to-text technology to capture 10,000 hours per week of FM and AM radio programming from certain markets. “This will supplement the live radio monitoring coverage VMS currently delivers to its clients,” the company said.
The company offers television news monitoring coverage; it says clients also wanted more extensive radio monitoring.
Earlier this summer it announced a service that lets users to search and view streaming broadcast video and closed-caption transcripts within minutes of airing. It plans to expand that to include radio coverage.
The company offers clients “management dashboards” that focus on editorial content and quantitative analytics.
