VOA and CEI Sign Harris for Facility Upgrade

Harris said it won a contract from a Virginia-based systems integrator to provide master control, routing and quality control systems to Voice of America in Washington.

The contract is from broadcast systems company Communications Engineering Inc., which is modernizing the International Broadcasting Bureau’s VOA facility in the nation’s capital.

The systems from Harris will include 12 channels of master control playback controlled by a Harris automation system, ingest and record list control, NEO and 6800+ modular series frame synchronizers and converters, and Videotek VTM-3100 test monitors.
