Nashville-based Voice of Country (VoC) is targeting the world with a mix of country music and social networking.
Created by the team behind the 3C DAB station, VoC offers listeners country music, interviews and information via online streaming, podcasts and e-newsletters. Via the VoC social networking community, listeners can help shape programming decisions for the channel, according to organizers.
Pat Geary serves as director of programming for VoC, and Barry O’Neill is director of business and creative services.
“As well as bringing country music to U.K. fans, we want to give country artists access to the ever-growing worldwide market by bringing our listeners to their doorstep,” said O’Neill. “We feel that Voice of Country will facilitate this.”
