WCBS(FM) Goes ‘Jack’

One of the nation’s most familiar oldies stations has been overtaken by the Jack format.
Infinity’s WCBS(FM) now features a random mix of oldies from four decades. Infinity says the format also includes fewer commercial breaks and less song repetition.
WCBS(FM) Vice President/GM Chad Brown said Jack FM will be unlike anything else in New York City.
The station’s legendary oldies format is now carried online at www.wcbsfm.com.
Infinity launched its first Jack station in July 2004 at KJKK(FM) in Dallas. The company has also made Jack format changes at stations in Los Angeles, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Seattle and Buffalo.
