WCBS(FM) PD Steps Down After 23-Year Run

Joe McCoy, a 23-year veteran of Infinity-owned WCBS(FM), New York, is stepping down as program director. He will relinquish his day-to-day responsibilities and transition to a consultancy with the oldies station.
McCoy was named PD of WCBS(FM) in 1981. Under his leadership, the station has become “America’s Most Listened to Oldies Station,” according to Infinity.
“It’s been a great ride,” McCoy said. “I have been fortunate to work with some of the most creative and entertaining people in the business. I’m proud of what we have accomplished in the past 23 years, but I’m also looking forward to future challenges and pursuing some of my other interests.”
