Web Radio Listening Sees Slight Drop in Latest MeasureCast Ratings

For the week of Oct. 7, MeasureCast reports its Internet Radio Listening Index dropped 1%. The index is a representation of the trend in total time spent listening to a spectrum of online radio stations. Since the first of the year, the total time spent listening to Internet radio stations measured by the company is up, however, 159%.
Of the top 25 online radio stations ranked by the total number of hours of programming streamed, 16 were Internet-only operations. Five of the 16 are MUSICMATCH Inc. stations. Four are Choice Radio stations, part of the Internet Radio Inc. group of stations. Virgin Radio checked in again as the top AM/FM simulcast station, while Clear Channel Worldwide ranked as the leading Internet radio network as measured by MeasureCast, streaming nearly 100,000 more hours than the network streamed the week before.
