WebRadio Wins 2006 Broos van Erp Prize

Solutions Radio said it was named the winner of the 2006 Broos van Erp Prize for its WebRadio, which lets users listen to radio and audio files from the Internet without having to use a computer.
Listeners need only a telephone connection, as the small standalone unit employs the telephone plug as an antenna.
Features include plug-and-play capability, remote control operation, a 5-watt speaker that can be switched off, home stereo compatibility through RCA speaker outputs, and LCD display with backlight for reading text menus. Also included is Ethernet access and a 56k dialup modem.
Additional highlights include an account number that allows a user to create closed-user-groups that require permission to listen to certain information.
