Wes Davis is the new chief engineer of Bend Radio Group.
Owner and co-CEO Jim Gross made the announcement. Davis replaces the late Dave Young. “We knew we had some very big engineering shoes to fill,” Gross said.
As chief engineer/operator, Davis will support a company that serves Central Oregon with four FMs and one AM.
“Prior to joining Bend Radio Group, Wes Davis spent five years as the VP of engineering for NextMedia Group. He also worked for Cumulus as a chief engineer in Jefferson City, Mo., and at WMCL(AM) in McLeansboro, Ill., where Wes began his broadcasting career over 30 years ago.”
Gross called Davis “a great engineer and broadcaster” who also understands programming, “a perfect fit for Central Oregon’s communities and outdoor lifestyle.”
