Cumulus-owned Westwood One has extended its contract to use Nielsen BDSradio measurement for its Cumulus stations and Westwood One 24/7 syndicated programming.
Nielsen BDSradio measures streaming, airplay and sales data. The announcement was made by Westwood One COO Charles Steinhauer and Nielsen GM of Music Erin Crawford.
Nielsen says BDSradio processes 7 billion streams weekly and 550,000 music detections daily from 1,900 radio stations, networks and video channels in North America.
The companies said they reached a “multi-year” extension.
