A noncommercial, eclectic music station in New Jersey claims to be the first station to stream live radio to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
WFMU(FM) in Jersey City, New Jersey, offers up QuickTime-based streams made possible by TVersity, a software company that claims to be the first enabler of live radio streaming for the iPhone.
On the station blog, the station announced: “iPhone listeners can point their browsers at iphone.wfmu.org and listen to our live mp3 streams at either 128 [kbps] or 32 [kbps] and also choose from a selection of our archived content and podcasts.”
