WFUV Goes IBOC

Fordham University’s WFUV(FM) in New York has gone digital.
It joins other stations that use the HD Radio technology, including fellow non-com WNYC(FM); Buckley’s WOR(AM) and Infinity’s WNEW(FM).
The AAA/folk-formatted station also is considering the possibilities in offering listeners a second channel of digital programming.
“As our Web site, wfuv.org, already does, the new digital technology will eventually make it possible for us to offer our listeners additional programming choices. The sound is clearer, the music sounds better and our listeners are better served,” stated General Manager Ralph Jennings.
