New York public station WFUV(FM) is noting its 60th birthday this fall.
It plans a party on Friday, Oct. 26 at Fordham University’s Keating Hall on the anniversary of the station’s dedication. A panel on the changing media landscape will feature alumni Charles Osgood of CBS News, Ed Randall of WFAN and Eileen Byrne, formerly of WLS.
The station says this spring it reached its highest audience estimates, with nearly 350,000 listeners weekly; it also passed $1 million in underwriting revenue for the first time.
