Customers are asking us about the business status of broadcast equipment manufacturer Energy-Onix.
The company makes tube and solid-state transmitters for AM, FM, shortwave and industrial applications, and it sells STL, LPFM, translator and audio processing equipment.
The website is operational; however recent calls and emails to the company from Radio World and others have gone unanswered. We welcome additional information to share with readers.
Bernie Wise founded the company in 1987. Wise was credited with bringing the “grounded grid transmitter” to FM broadcasting after forming his previous company, CCA Electronics, in 1962.
Readers will recall that Wisepassed away last December at age 87. At the time, his son Jack indicated the company would remain open on a lighter schedule.
