WHUR to Launch HD2 Channel

WHUR(FM) in Washington plans to launch its HD2 channel Nov. 16.
The channel, called “The World,” will be streamed on the Web as well as broadcast. Students from the Howard University School of Communications will be involved with the new channel, according to GM Jim Watkins. WHUR has been giving away Boston Acoustic Recepter HD Radios to pre-promote the launch.
