Users of any WideOrbit products — radio automation, traffic, sales, etc. — have an excuse for a trip to San Francisco in the summer, a WideOrbit User Conference planned for the Palace Hotel, July 17–20.
The conference sessions will be divided into job functions like traffic, sales, radio, finance, along with specialty topics and special get-acquainted-with-WideOrbit sessions for users of the recently acquired Orion Business Systems platform. A total of 60 sessions are planned.
Founder Eric Mathewson and other WideOrbit execs will speak as well.
WideOrbit stresses that these in many cases are training sessions, so junketeers should arrive a few days early if they plan on seeing the sights of the Bay Area. However, there are some social events being scheduled. (The company’s “top 10 reasons to go” includes No. 1: “You will have fun.”)
