WIOO Knocked Off Air

For Carlisle, Pa. station equipment, studio space, return date are issues after an electrical fire knocks it off the air.

It’s unclear when WIOO(AM), Carlisle, Pa. will be back on the air.

Operations Manager Eric Swidler says station personnel need to determine how much of the facility’s equipment is usable and locate new studio space. An electrical fire knocked WIOO off the air on Monday.

Authorities say no one was inside the building at the time, reported the Beaver County Times.

WIOO PD Ray Thomas told WHTM(TV) everything was fine when he left the building to get lunch at around 1 p.m. When he returned, he said, the building was on fire.
