The new FCC chairman gets to name yet another bureau chief.
John Muleta, head of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, plans to leave the agency at the end of the month. Muleta has been wireless chief since early 2003. Before his appointment Muleta was president and CEO of Source 1 Technologies, a systems integration firm. He also held management positions with telecom firm PSINet Inc. In a previous stint with the FCC from 1994-1998, Muleta served as a division chief and a deputy chief of the former Common Carrier Bureau.
