WireReady Changes Licensing

WireReady Changes Licensing

WireReady NSI is promoting its ControlReady automation system.
The software sells for $495 to $4,995, based on the size of the station or market cluster. Hardware can be supplied by the customer or purchased separately. At the spring NAB show, for example, a fully-equipped rack mounted Pentium 4/3 GHz computer with 300 GB of hot-swap RAID1 storage, was offered at a special show price of $2,495.
WireReady is offering its software, including NewsReady newsroom systems, SalesReady sales databases, WebReady web publishing and StormReady storm closing systems, for one-time buyout pricing by individual stations or as group-wide deals.
CEO David Gertsmann said the goal of unlimited user and station licensing is to expand the company’s client base and to offer optional support services at an additional cost, starting at $500/year for basic 800-number phone support.
