With KDFC Now Digital, Bonneville Plans More

We reported it here on May 28; now Ibiquity and Bonneville are announcing officially that KDFC(FM) in San Francisco is broadcasting using HD Radio technology. The station went on the air with digital on May 3, the first in that city to do so.

The classical station is teamed with Bonneville’s San Francisco sister stations KOIT(FM) and KKDV(FM) in making the transition to digital broadcasting. Bonneville also has committed Chicago FM stations WTMX and WDRV to transition to HD Radio. Efforts to convert these stations are in progress.

Bonneville owns 20 radio stations and is in the process of acquiring 15 more.
