WLMN Hangs a DCR-H4

Dielectric antenna is Interlochen Public Radio’s second

WLMN(FM) in Manistee, Mich., is using a Dielectric DCR-H4 FM antenna from SPX Communication Technology.

The station is owned by Interlochen Public Radio, which also uses a DCR-H4 antenna at WICA(FM) in Traverse City.

The manufacturer said WLMN went on the air in August and serves an area with approximately 40,000 people.

Jack Conners is IPR chief engineer. He said WLMN has a first-adjacent station to the north, and thus a very tight directional pattern. “This was a very important aspect of the installation,” he told Dielectric.
