There was a time when the thought of an easy listening lunch-time concert in New York’s Bryant Park would have been laughable. The park was drug-infested and considered an unsafe place. But things can change for the good.
WLTW(FM)/Lite FM, an iHeartMedia property in New York, has announced its slate of free Thursday lunch-time concerts in the park; for the 15th year running. Starting July 9 and continuing for six straight weeks, this year’s theme is “Broadway in Bryant Park” and will consist of hit songs from current and past Tony Award-winning Broadway shows.
Hosting the kick-off concert will be nationally-syndicated host Delilah. She’ll be joined by Penn & Teller as co-hosts. Other WLTW show hosts will take their turns hosting through the summer.
