WOR Moves on Down Broadway

Saying it is the first media outlet to move to lower Manhattan since 9/11, Buckley Broadcasting has relocated WOR(AM)’s studios to the Trinity Building at 111 Broadway. The station aired for 76 years from 1440 Broadway in Times Square.
The station has 22,000 square feet in its new home. It released a statement from President Richard Buckley saying, “I’ve been sort of intrigued with downtown after 9/11. I thought it would be an interesting move because downtown is blossoming into a tremendously vibrant area – not just with the new World
Trade Center, but with housing conversion and the new transit hub.”
WOR was founded in 1922 and calls itself New York’s oldest, privately owned and continuously operated radio station.
