Novanet Communications of Ajax, Ontario, has inked a deal with broadcast equipment manufacturer WorldCast Systems to be its exclusive Canadian dealer for the Audemat family of products.
Novanet has been a dealer for WorldCast’s APT line of codecs for 15 years, the result of a deal when APT was part of a separate company. Now added to that portfolio will be WorldCast’s Audemat line, which includes products ranging from consoles to test equipment.
Chris Poulain, president of WorldCast’s Miami-based U.S. subsidiary said: “I recognized that the Audemat brand was not reaching its full potential in the Canadian marketplace.”
Joe Uyede, president of Novanet, noted a deadline of August 2011 for DTV conversion and the continuing digital migration in various media.
