WorldDAB Automotive 2016 Announces New Keynote Speakers

Pair of sessions providing a look into road coverage and working with consumer market also scheduled

The WorldDAB Automotive 2016 conference is just a couple of weeks away now, and in anticipation WorldDAB has announced a pair of keynote speakers, as well as new sessions that will help make up the event’s activities.

Helen Boaden, director of radio for the BBC and president of the European Digital Radio Alliance, will be one of the show’s new keynote speakers; she will speak on broadcast. Mike Hawes, chief executive for SMMT, will also be featured as a keynote speaker, talking about automotive.

A pair of sessions has also been announced. The first is “Driving Across Europe” and will provide an overview of road coverage, take-up of digital radio in cars and automotive developments across European markets. Ford Ennals, Digital Radio U.K.; Helwin Lesch, Bayrische Rundfunk of Germany; Jarle Rudd, Digital Radio Norge; Mathias Coinchon, Switzerland; Nicolas Bresou, RTBF, Belgium; and Jacqueline Bierhorst, Digital Radio Netherlands, will serve as panelists.

The other session will be “Working with the Consumer Aftermarket” and will explore manufacturers’ keys to success. Jarle Rudd; Graham Johnson, Connects 2, U.K.; Tom Vedvik, Micro, Norway; Jasper Wybrants, Pure, Norway; Damien Brion, Clarion, France; Dave Volkaerts, JVCKenwood, Belgium; and Andrea Pasqualotto, FIAMM Antennas, Italy.

The WorldDAB Automotive 2016 show will take place on May 11 in Brussels.
