WorldDAB Launches Automotive User Experience Group

Will seek to improve in-car user experience for DAB radios

A new Automotive User Experience Group has been created by WorldDAB with the goal of improving user experience for in-car DAB radios and understanding future technology trends, according to a recent announcement from WorldDAB.

Digital Radio U.K.’s Laurence Harrison will chair the group that will look at the best practice examples available and identify actions that will help support wider action. Additional areas of focus for the group include how to support user experience from a broadcast data perspective and collaborative research on areas that could support future design.

“We’re launching the WorldDAB Automotive UX Group to facilitate collaboration between broadcasters and car manufacturers, helping ensure that in-car DAB and hybrid digital radio provide the great experiences consumers expect,” said Harrison.

The first meeting is scheduled for June 14 in London.
