The stage is set for WorldDAB’s DAB+ workshop that is scheduled to take place during RadioAsia 2017, as WorldDAB has announced the official line-up.
With Thailand planning to launch digital radio in 2018, WorldDAB will bring in speakers from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, including Col. Dr. Natee Sunkonrat, vice-chair of NBTC and chair of the National Broadcasting Committee. Orasri Srirasa, division director of the Digital Broadcasting Bureau of the NBTC, is also scheduled to speak at the workshop.
Other speakers expected include Joan Warner, Asia Pacific chair of WorldDAB and CEO of Commercial Radio Australia; Peter Wallop from the ITU; Dr. Les Sabel and Kath Brown from Commercial Radio Australia; and reps from Factum Radioscape, Keystone Semiconductor Corp. and Paneda.
Additional elements for the workshop will include commercial radio case studies, updates on DAB+ transmission and receiver equipment, and the radio spectrum challenge in South East Asia. RadioAsia 2017 will take place from April 26–28 in Bangkok.
