WorldSpace has added Fox Sports Radio to its sports line-up. The commercial-free channel offers U.S. sports news and talk radio coverage to a potential audience of more than 380,000 listeners comprised of American troops, Coalition Forces and expatriates stationed or living abroad as well as its other listeners interested in U. S. sports.
Fox Sports Radio will be broadcast via the WorldSpace AfriStar satellite, making it available to subscribers in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The new channel will join the digital satellite radio company’s existing sports line-up: the U.K.’s talkSport – delivering news on European soccer, German football and rugby – also on AfriStar; and Play – offering cricket coverage, Formula One racing and on its AsiaStar satellite coverage area, that includes India.
