Some 60 countries are affected including France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Libya, Liberia, Morocco, Congo, Sierra Leone and others.

The company told customers in an online announcement that the move will help it provide better satellite service in Europe and Northern Africa. It has stopped selling subscriptions in the North-West beam and didn’t say when it would resume. It is offering current paying European and Northern African subscribers free subscription service renewals through Nov. 30.
