WQUB Adds HD Radio

BE said public station WQUB(FM) in Quincy, Ill., is airing HD Radio.
Broadcast Electronics is based in Quincy and recently installed an HD Radio RF system at the station’s transmitter site. Mick Freeman is assistant director for the station, licensed to Quincy University. BE said its relationship with the station dates to the 1980s when WQUB was a tiny common carrier station. WQUB also was an early beta test sites for AudioVault.
The station is updating its studios and plans to add a second digital channel and stream programming on the Internet soon.
