WRDW's "Penny Jam" Raises Money for Delaware Valley

Philadelphia’s WRDW(FM) Wired 96.5, a Beasley Broadcast Group station, kicked off its “Penny Jam” contest, in which local high school students are encouraged to collect pennies for the chance to win a concert at their school featuring a surprise recording artist to be announced later this fall. The contributed pennies will be donated to local charities in the Delaware Valley on behalf of the winning school and the WRDW staff.
High school students in the Delaware Valley can bring their penny contributions to local participating VIP Wireless/Boost Mobile stores, where WRDW’s street team members will be stationed. Exact locations and times for drop-offs will be announced on-air throughout the fall.
“This contest gives local high school students a great opportunity to collect their unused pennies for charity, while raising back-to-school spirit with the potential to bring a great live event to their school,” said WRDW PD Chuck Tisa.
