The family of a woman who died after taking part in a station water-drinking contest has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in California, naming current and ex-station employees and parent company Entercom.

Jennifer Strange died of suspected water intoxication after taking part in a contest last week in which participants tried to out-drink each other to win a Nintendo Wii game.

Entercom-owned KDND of Sacramento fired 10 people and executives told the Sacramento Bee they’re doing an internal investigation.

The Enforcement Bureau of the FCC is also looking into the incident after receiving a letter from Roger Dreyer, the attorney representing the Strange family.
