WSOU Sets Holiday Programming

Masses, Bach, Handel, Seymour and heavy metal

Seton Hall University’s WSOU(FM) has released its plans for the upcoming Christmas holidays. They include everything from Bach to Seymour (Jane) to heavy metal.

Serving a Roman Catholic institution, WSOU will broadcast masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. It will also have a number of religious specials including “A Franciscan Christmas” and “Seton Hall Christmas Message” for Christmas Eve and Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio,” “A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” and “Music from the Messiah,” on Christmas day. Interspersed will be traditional Christmas music and carol programs along with “The Spirit of Giving With Jane Seymour.”

In addition, since it is a college radio station, there will be many programs of heavy metal Christmas and holiday tunes.

New Year’s Day promises lots of loud music and a “Top 89 Countdown.” The station’s frequency is 89.5 MHz.
