Hubbard-owned WTOP(FM,) Washington is trying something on its website other all-news formatted stations will watch.
The station has created a new section on its WTOP.com website dedicated to technology news. Reporter Neal Augenstein has been named technology editor and will produce multimedia tech coverage for on-air, online and social media.
Indeed, a perusal of the site shows tech topics broken up into categories like consumer, Fed and science.
“Technology touches everything we do today,” said WTOP Digital Media Director John Meyer. “We are going to tell the stories of how it is affecting lives in our area at work, home, school, and in government.”
