Bonneville’s WTOP continues its recent aggressive marketing to the Washington market with news that it has launched a Web site called WtopNoticias.com. It’s a Spanish-language news site created in partnership with Associated Press Spanish Online and local newspaper Washington Hispanic.
“WtopNoticias.com will be an extension of wtopnews.com with content independent from wtopnews.com,” the station said. “The site currently features news headlines updated 24/7 from the Associated Press. There are plans to expand the content with audio and Podcasting from WTOP Radio and Washington Hispanic.”
The fastest-growing segment of the population in the region is the Hispanic community, stated WTOP VP of News and Programming Jim Farley.
