WUSF Public Broadcasting is collecting stories from people who lived through World War II.

The effort is part of its Florida Stories series. “Stories can come from people who served in the military during World War II, or from people who kept the family together on the home front while loved ones were off to war.”

The station has been airing World War II stories since around Memorial Day and will continue through Veterans Day in conjunction with Ken Burns’ PBS documentary “The War.”
