Wynton Marsalis Alligns With XM

Jazz artist Wynton Marsalis has agreed to a multi-year partnership to help build and promote XM Satellite Radio’s service.
“Music is more than the Top Ten,” Marsalis said. “It’s a rich tradition full of wonderful languages. XM promises to open up America to the wealth of incredible music that deserves to be heard.”
Each year, Marsalis will host 12 one-hour musical specials chronicling his career, influences and own tastes in music, which will air on XM’s jazz channels. He will also act as a creative consultant to XM’s jazz programming team.
