Entercom Upstate’s WYRD(FM) is putting more local emphasis on its morning drive programming.

The station’s new lineup from 6 a.m. through noon starting this month, featuring new hire Tara Servatius from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. weekdays, and current staffer Vince Coakley will host “The Vince Coakley Radio Program” from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Newscaster Lee Rogers will continue as the news anchor for “The Tara Show” on WYRD.

Before joining WORD 106.3, Tara Servatius was the host of “Tara on TMA” in Charleston. She previously hosted talk shows in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C.

“We are energizing morning radio with the launch of these vibrant, live and local talk shows,” said Entercom Greenville VP/Market Manager Steve Sinicropi. “Both Tara and Vince will deliver fresh, and thought provoking commentary on the issues and news our community cares about most. We are excited about fans joining in the on-air conversation on the only Upstate local news/talk station.”

Entercom Upstate has six radio stations; WFBC(FM), WSPA(FM), WPTP(FM), WROQ(FM) and WYRD(AM/FM).
