XM Adds/Drops Programming

XM Satellite Radio has implemented a number of programming changes based on subscriber comments and requests. New channels include: folk, audio books, radio drama and more R&B and hip-hop. A Christian music channel has also been added. A premium Playboy channel is also available beginning Sept. 3. Some programming is being dropped to make way for the new programming, including an XM news channel and a club hits channel.
XM says some subscribers may have the presets on their XM radio set to one or more of the channels affected by these changes. A preset on an XM radio programmed to a channel that is moving will still access that channel at its new location.
