XM Appoints Marketing Exec

XM will soon have a chief marketing officer, a new position.
Vernon Irvin assumes the title on Nov. 14. XM said the move is part of a restructuring it began in July with the appointment of Nate Davis as new XM president and COO.
Irvin was executive VP and GM of telecom company VeriSign.
Also recently, the chairman of XM’s board, Gary Parsons, resigned as director of WorldSpace so he can focus his attention on his XM duties, he said in an SEC filing.
