XM Satellite Radio and XM NavTraffic capability will be standard factory-installed features on the Lexus LX 570, which debuted at the New York International Auto Show this week.
Steve Cook, executive vice president of automotive for XM, said the LX 570 is the second Lexus vehicle with XM NavTraffic capability as a standard feature; he said this shows increasing demand. XM and XM NavTraffic capability are also factory-installed, standard features on the Lexus LS 460.
LS and LX models equipped with factory-installed XM come standard with a 90-day trial subscription.
Separately, Hyundai is adding XM as a factory-installed, standard feature across its lineup. New vehicles with standard XM include the Veracruz midsize crossover on sale now and Hyundai’s upcoming premium sports sedan.
XM Radio is already a standard, factory-installed feature on 2007 Azera, Elantra, Santa Fe and Sonata audio systems. Every Hyundai equipped with XM comes with a three-month trial subscription.
